A tech expert has revealed a simple trick to ensure your emails will never be ignored again - but some are desperate to keep the 'infuriating' feature a secret.

While office workers now know what 'cringey' phrases they should never use in emails, many are still far from mastering the details of Outlook.

Nick Benton, who runs TA Tech Tips online, shared how you can send an email with a follow-up reminder if you use Microsoft Outlook.

'We've all got those annoying colleagues who never reply, and here's how you can give them a gentle nudge,' Nick said in a video.

All you have to do is first type out the email, click on the 'Flag' icon in the top right corner, and click 'Add Reminder'.

When you go to customise it, you can set a 'Reminder' notification for the recipient, ensuring they get a pop-up box that flags the urgency of your email a few minutes or hours after they have received it.

'Now, they have no excuse to miss those emails,' Nick said.

A flag on a message to recipients adds extra emphasis.

If the recipient is also using Outlook, the flagged item will be automatically added to their to-do list.

Many office workers prefer using the simple work-around instead of sending several follow-up emails and escalating the matter to their recipient's manager.

It is especially useful for those who have busy schedules and can forget to respond to emails when the work piles up.

The hack comes after users discovered a 'game-changing' new iPhone iOS 16 photo feature and how travellers can track their phones from anywhere in the world.

Many claimed the tip was a 'life-saver'.

'Wow! Mind blown,' one said. 'This is going to be so useful.'

'I'm so going to try this for work,' another added.

While some were displeased by the useful hack.

'I will definitely ignore that email on purpose,' a man wrote.

'Anyone who does this to me is just going to get blocked,' another echoed.
